CARBON FOOTPRINT
75% less impact. Same waves.

Together with the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW), we analysed the environmental impact of our surfboards from production to recycling.

The result is clear: our recyclable boards cause up to 75% less environmental impact compared to conventional soft-top surfboards.

Less material. Less energy. Less CO₂.

In a comparative life cycle assessment conducted by ZHAW (2025), our surfboards were compared with conventional soft-top boards.

The study evaluated the entire life cycle – from raw material extraction to production, use, transport, and recycling.

The results show:

75% lower overall environmental impact
77% lower CO₂ emissions
75% less fossil energy consumption
80% less water use

The case study also highlights the importance of circularity:

When EPP (the board’s core material) is fully recycled, the ecological footprint decreases by an additional 10%.
